About Peter

Taught guitar privately in the Los Angeles area for 5 years.

I have taught guitar for 3 years in Austin, TX.

Taught guitar for California Music Studios in San Deigo County for 8 years

I really love music a lot and i do love to help people. So I love helping people to learn more about music/guitar. I am very passionate about both.

I had a retail job and a few coworkers found out that i play guitar and they apporached me to learn guitar from me.

Majored in music at Pasadena City College

About the lesson

I will teach how to tune a guitar. Then go over Pentatonic scale, notes on the first string, two open chords, an intro to a simple song.

All kinds I have have as young as 5 although i recommended starting at 6. To as old as in there 70's. Must of my past clients have been teenagers to mid twenties.

Look for someone that understand music not just the guitar. As you inprove and become more interested you will eventually want to learn how to communicate with other musicians. Also, your instructor should be able to play, not necessary fast but he or she should understand different techniques on the guitar. Find out what they can do what are their stregnths and weakenes and how does that play into what you want to learn. Nobody does everything great but if you somone that does something that you are intersted tht is good enough you can move on later and learn thoese things your instructor does not do well.
