About Matt
I'm a Western Mass musician and educator specializing in guitar and banjo instruction, as well as coaching in performance, songwriting, and production. As both a working artist and experienced teacher, I'm ready to meet you or your child exactly where you are, whether you're just starting out or a working professional looking to grow.
I've worked with students from preschool through adulthood, including individuals with diverse learning needs. As a performer, I've played Club Passim, the Parlor Room, and the Clearwater Festival, shared stages with Pete Seeger, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Jackson Browne, Janis Ian, Suzanne Vega, and Arlo Guthrie, and recorded and produced music for myself and other artists.
I'd love to help you on your way.
