About Nate

I have always loved passing on and sharing knowledge.

I sing, play guitar, perform and songwrite for a Country/Rock band called Athens Creek and my own solo project. I have full time performed live, as an entertainer and professional musician, for over 10 years and performed over 2,500 times. I have studied music theory on a student and personal level, and learned so much from personal relationships with excellent musicians across the U.S. Since I was a child I have loved music and tried to learn all that I can. The beauty of music, is there is always something more to learn.

About the lesson

Getting to know the student and their goals always comes first. After understanding goals and previous knowledge, I will then assess the skill and begin training at the appropriate level.

I have worked with mature adults in their 60s and 70s, I have worked with 30 years old professionals, I have worked with highschool students, and I have worked with children as young as 6 yrs old. I'm sure I can work with you too!

When I first started I thought that being self taught was a prize to hang on the wall. I learned that while there was so much I could learn and do on my own, it is still important to have a coach, someone to check in on you and make sure your not making a bad habit, or someone who can help show you an easier way to play or hit a note. These things are important in the learning process because it takes a long time to unlearn a bad habit.

My most recent event that I really enjoyed was an 8 state U.S. tour where me and my team where able to work with many people within many communities that were just seeking friendship, mentorship, and love. We had an awesome time and it was a great way to interact with community.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
You should always ask yourself, "why am I wanting to learn?". Is it for fun? is it to become professional? is it to impress someone else? If you know why you want to learn it will be a constant motivation that will drive you, because to be honest sometimes it's not easy and when you know this reason, it will keep you motivated and help your teacher know when to give push you or ease off.

My standard pricing is $30 per half hour and $60 per hour. I will often run 1 month specials for a discounted rate.
