About Ryan

learning the guitar is best achieved when having fun with it, by creating lessons that are enjoyable and music the student likes. Preference in music is important but not an obstacle. I like every style of music out there. Learning the guitar is broken down into steps starting with the basic chord structure and technique. A personalized program is created for each student after the first lesson. Creating a program taylored to each student is determined by where they are at with the guitar and what they want to accomplish such as learning scales, chord structure, and song writing.

With technology today, online lessons are the best option for most people. Teaching lessons online gives the student more time for instruction and is more comfortable for student as well. (Lessons in person can also be accomplished as well if possible). Learning the guitar is most achieved when student is comfortable.

I've been playing guitar since I was 13 and haven't been able to put it down. I have a 13 year old son and coached his baseball team and now teach him guitar as well. I found that showing someone this gift of creating music makes people happy. Learning music is a skill that is priceless for what it does for your overall well being and confidence. The best thing about playing music is like riding a bike, you will achieve a skill that last a lifetime.

Self taught and have been playing since I was a teenager. I enjoy all music and play classic rock, blues, alternative, and more.

About the lesson

Figure out students guitar playing level and build it up from there. It could be from learning to tune and learn chords to playing your own song and reading tablature.
