I get to teach a skill that will enhance ones life and the people around them. Plus the confidence and how good a person feels after learning the guitar from practicing. That confidence and joy carries over to other aspects of that persons life. I thnk that is lacking in today’s world. I feel humbled I can help people learn the Guitar.
I decided one day I wanted to teach people how to play the guitar. Because of the positive effect it had on my life. Learning to play instilled confidence in me.Which I was able to appply in all areas of my life. I want to pass that down and help people become musicians. Whether it’s just for a hobby or they want to become a professional
I have studied Guitar and music theory for 15 years. I have been teaching for the past 5 years and love it. I specialize in teaching yonger students. But also teach older students as well. I have had students from the ages of 9-67 yrs old. I have taught for music schools like School of Rock,7 notes and a Frisco School Of Music.

I first have to determine the students level of playing. Also what the students goals are for learning the guitar
I have worked with students from the ages of 7-60. I have worked with complete beginner students and intermediate students.
I would tell them to make sure the teachers program does not just include teaching boring scales and music theory. Don’t get me wrong those are important. But Because that can be boring and the student loses interest quickly. The atud3nt needs to learn songs and how to apply the music theory. Learning songs and playing music is why people want to learn to play in the first place. So let’s rock and have some fun.
When one of my best students who was 14 started Highschool and made the Jazz band at his school. His years of dedication and hard work payed off.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
