About Josiah

The service provided stands out from the rest because JB Squared Lessons is focused on providing top-notch quality lessons to students while making the lessons fun, entertaining, enjoyable, and easy to understand and learn. At JB Squared Lessons, we are also all about teaching life lessons and principles to the students such as going through hardship and trials to overcome, endurance, perseverance, and discipline. We do this by providing many hands-on methods of learning so that the students can fully emerse themselves into what they love and want to learn. Parents are also greatly encouraged to be involved in their children's journeys'. Not only that, JB Squared Lessons is available for all ages! No person too young or old!

The work we do at JB Squared Lessons is very enjoyable for many reasons. First, we love to bring joy and happiness to people as they strive to improve their skills through their lessons. Second, being involved with people and sharing great times and memories also brings joy to us through our work at JB Squared Lessons. Lastly, helping people overcome obstacles and being there to help support others to succeed is what brings us great joy!

I am a USPTA certified professional tennis instructor and coach. I have taught tennis lessons and camps for 4 years through various clubs and parks and recreational programs. I have played tennis since the age of nine and played Division 1 college tennis at Liberty University. I have also served as an assistant coach for the men's and women's team at Randolph College for 3 years.

As a table tennis instructor, I have had extensive training with a semi-professional table tennis player and coach. I played on the Liberty University table tennis team and made it to the national collegiate tournament.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, the first step should be to find out the level of ability the student already has so that he/she will not start with a lesson that is too hard or easy. This will help the student feel comfortable while still being challenged to go to the next level. Setting a friendly and relaxing environment is always a top priority at JB Squared lessons and we strive to make sure our students always feel at ease where they can really focus on getting better.

We also offer the option of a paid, trial lesson so the student can experience a lesson with their instructor and see if they are a good fit, without any obligation to continue and before they make any commitment!

At JB Squared Lessons, we have worked with all kinds of students from the age of 3 to 72 years old. It does not matter what age. If there is a willingness to learn new things and improve one's skills then any age is welcome!

Not only is Josiah a top notch coach but he is a top notch player. Josiah played at a division 1 college and it shows on the ct. The shape and quality of his shots can only come from that caliber of a player.
Hitting with him will make you a better player. His ability to see your faults and correct them are his strengths. Great instruction and just a very positive person!!!! And he is fast, he will get every ball back beware!

Josiah is the best tennis instructor! He is patient, on time, encouraging and really focused on teaching me the right technique so I don’t hurt my wrist or arm when hitting. He makes it fun and enjoyable and knows when to challenge me and when to bring me back to the basics. I am 24 years old, with no prior experience and I highly recommend him!
