About Jonathan
After leaving college I began teaching independently. One on one teaching has allowed me to envelop a student knowledge of the instrument and general appreciation for music in general.
I have 20 years of experience teaching violin and guitar in every style and twenty years of performing live across the country. I started my musical life at age six learning violin through Suzuki method in the Chicago area and continued my education focused on guitar with a music performance degree.

My first steps with any student is to find what interests and goals they wish to succeed at.
I have experience teaching 5 year old students to 90 year old students. Generally, the best students are the ones most curious about the instrument or music.
Look for an instructor that has your best needs in mind.
All students are unique and learns differently, I make a lesson plan for the individual.
Playing music has lead me to meet very interesting people and teach very talented people. Music is a very socialble activity and I've met lifelong friends and musicians.

Details
My standard lesson pricing starts at $25 /half hour. After our first lesson, level of the student will be determined. On average, my students takes an hour lesson a week at $60, appox.
