About Steve
I teach what I know after more than 40 years of playing:
- How to play in a band
- Ear training
- How to play with feeling
- How to play in a variety of styles
- How to accompany a vocalist or soloist
- How to solo
I love helping guitarists grow and to see what they can accomplish!
I was approached by music store owners and fans asking me if I would teach guitar.
I have played professionally for over 40 years in many groups and many styles - onstage and in the recording studio.

Determine strengths and weaknesses in the new student abilities and design lessons to introduce new ideas, improve technical skills, play with feeling and have fun!
Beginning and intermediate guitar, at least 12 years old.
Most of my students play acoustic, but of course I work with electric as well.
Find a teacher who will challenge you to expand your awareness of possibilities and to be a better guitarist.
I heard a former student performing her original songs, and she has released her 1st CD!
