Matt has been working with my son for over seven years. He started by teaching our son piano. We love the convenience of him coming to our home for the lesson. He understands children and their differences and was able to cater to my sons needs. My son soon became very interested in other instruments. Matt easily adapted to drum lessons. We started with a snare and moved on to a drum set. He coached us every step of the way of what to buy and how to develop good practice habits. My son joined the band at school and played drums there. So we moved on now to guitar. My son jams out with Matt on the guitar. Because he already had a strong background in reading music he was able to pick up the guitar easily. I love hearing him practicing in his room. And I love that he has an outlet. My son is in high school now. He has joined the school band, marching band, jazz band and pit band. The group of friends he has acquired have all been enjoying playing music together and all that comes with the strong bonds they have formed. I could not be more grateful to Matt for giving this gift of music to my son. Matt is starting to teach our daughter piano now as she was showing interest watching her brother play all the time. It is very sweet to have music playing in my house by my children while I cook dinner. I highly recommend Matt for music lessons.

I started taking lessons with Matt in 2016 after I started working in a couple of different bands. As an adult female, I already felt intimidated by other, more experienced drummers. I might also add that I have some physical challenges too. Matt has a unique, kind way of motivating and instilling confidence. He also has a talent for knowing the "just right" custom exercises to strengthen the skills that I need to focus on when I am singing and playing drums.
