About Kendall

I believe that music is our best illustration of our reality; A chorus of individuals, sounding as one.

It's quite a ride digging into the infinity of music, understanding the parts that make-up the whole. When this understanding reaches a level of maturity, improvision takes over, and that's when the real magic happens!

I have been fortunate enough to play music for most of my life. It started in a garage with a drum set, and led to professional touring and studio session engagements. As an engineer and producer, I've been able to work with a wide variety of artists, genres, and niches, each one influencing new improvisions.

I was a professional stage musician for 15 years, touring 49 states in a coach playing southern county music. Having constructed our own studio, our crew and I became very well versed in the technology of digital recording and sound production. Working closely with musicians, engineers, and producers in both Nashville and Hollywood, our band was fortunate enough to have several #1 charting songs in several overseas counties.

About the lesson

Our first lesson will be determining the skill and intentions of the student. This is important to provide direction for setting goals and keying out a lesson plan.

If a firm understanding of theory is not yet established, this will be first priority in the lesson plan. Once we know the architecture of the sound, we will move on toward style, instrumentation, and ultimately improvision.

Details

Lessons are priced hourly, $90 per hour with a 30 minute minimum, 2.5 hour maximum. If lesson extends longer then 1 hour, a break or two is recommended.
