About Daniel

Hello! My name is Daniel.

Since 2009, I have been serving active duty in the USAF as a professional bandsman/guitarist representing the U.S. military through public concerts.

Education:

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Guitar Performance from California State University of Northridge. I also studied keyboard skills for 10 semesters and have been playing both keyboard and guitar for 25 years.

Profile:

I have been playing guitar professionally for over 15 years covering rock, jazz, Latin, classical and pop music. Also, I have been teaching guitar for over 10 years.

Feature:

I have performed on the Conan O’Brian show with Conan himself and Grace Potter (can be seen on YouTube--search “Full Spectrum with Grace Potter”).

Personality

Patient, flexible, goal-minded and quiet. Respects and values everyone’s uniqueness, contributions and potentials.

I enjoy playing music and sharing what I know. I also find it rewarding to see a student progress in their musical journey.

I started when I was in college for my music performance degree.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in guitar performance from California State University of Northridge.

About the lesson

1. To get to know the student's needs and goals. If they don't have goals, I propose goals and explain what they potentially lead to.

2. To have an agreement with students about lesson plan.

3. To periodically asses student's progression and make adjustment based on goals, or new path to new goals (I'm flexible).

4. Most importantly, I believe in breaking down complex, challenging lessons into manageable steps, or progression.

From 8 to 60 years old with different levels and interests.

Just ask lots of questions and take your time before making a decision.

My pay rate is an average cost for a local guitar lesson. It also depends on the level of the student. There are 3 levels in my curriculum (beginner, intermediate and advanced).
