About Brent

Other Instructors will often teach you what THEY want to learn. Im far more intrested in seeing you play what you want. My job is to make you the guitar player YOU want to be. Whether your one them long hair metal boys, or just a simple country gal. If you wanna play it, you bet your behind I'ma gun' teach it to ya!

My favorite part of whatchin young, or wise aged guitar players play, is when they fianlly understand the questions they ask. When that lightbulb finally switches on, THAT is my favorite part.

I started in School of Rock as a student, and eventually moved up to being a teacher.

Ive been a student at the School of Rock for 4 years, then moving up to being a teacher for School of Rock Mckinney for about another year. Ive been taking lessons from the worlds most renowned guitar players.

About the lesson

I will start with an evaluation process. I will ask basic guitar questions like: Do you know how to tune?, Can you read tabs?, How long have you been playing?, etc. After that we will review all the material that you know, once I feel that your comfortable navigating all of that, then we will start with brand new teachings!

From Rowdy 3 year olds, to 75 year old "Wise Guys".

Make sure they teach you what you want to learn, BUT they also need to teach you what you dont know.

Attending Berklee, College of Music's 5 week program.
