About Jacob
Playing and learning music should be fun! I find that students will stick with it and practice more if they’re having fun. I combine teaching the techniques needed to master the guitar with the fun of learning your favorite songs, how to improvise during a jam session, and methods for writing your own music, and more.
Each student gets a personalized lesson plan based on their experience level, age, type of music they like, and their specific goals.
I have years of experience working with students of all ages in a private one on one setting but in a classroom setting as well I currently teach after school guitar programs at elementary schools in Cherokee County Ga.
I’ve been involved in music for over 20 years as member of national touring bands, a songwriter, a recording engineer, a producer, and a teacher.
I not only have the technical expertise but the real world knowledge and the passion for music to help you get your musical goals accomplished.
Since I can remember music has been a passion of mine. I can remember the first songs I sang and danced to as child. Most of my memories through life have a song attached to them. Music is the soundtrack of our lives, right? Through music I was able to have an outlet and a way to express myself. Not to mention all the friends and the amazing experiences.
So teaching others is a way for me to pass that on. To watch someone go from no experience at all to playing their favorite song or to perform for the very first time. It’s a rewarding experience.
