Not only was his instruction very clear and to the point, but he’s very skilled in adapting the lesson material to suite my particular learning style. Being an adult student is difficult because of time and professional constraints, but he taught me everything I needed to learn to be successful in my musical journey.
Playing an instrument always seemed quite daunting to me but Jordan is a very patient, understanding, and flexible teacher. He really broke things down and explained them in a way that made learning to play guitar no longer scary and frustrating but fun and attainable.
Jordan has been teaching my 10 year old daughter guitar for the past 4 months or so. She had never played a guitar before. She has learned so much - from the basics of how to hold and tune a guitar, how to strum, and they are working on reading music. The weekly guitar lessons have been a high point of a rather difficult 2020.
Jordan crafts the lessons to the student. My daughter loves to write and composed a song in a writing camp - he's been helping her put that to music with the guitar. He is engaging, encouraging and motivates her to do well. I've been so impressed with how someone of his caliber/talent can make music accessible to even a novice. I must admit I was a bit skeptical about how much could be accomplished via zoom - but I've been so happy with not just how much she has progressed but also how much her appreciation of music has grown. I highly recommend Jordan Peters !I’m a newbie to guitar and Jordan was super patient in helping me to build a practice. He’s really knowledgeable about other aspects of music theory as well. Highly recommend.
