About Gordon
Over 30 years guitar teaching experience. Former student of Joe Satriani. Former teacher of Mark Letierri.
At 19 or 20 I started working for Guitar Trader in San Diego. When they found out I had studied with Joe Satriani they took me off the sales floor and put me in a lesson studio.
I have studied guitar with Joe Satriani and Lorn Leber, and I studied music at the University of California, San Diego.

Most important: play the music you love. If it doesn't contain guitar, maybe you picked the wrong instrument to learn. Next, I teach you not just guitar, but music. Understanding the science of music will make you a great artist, not just a parrot.

There are a million things to learn on the guitar. Don't waste time on things that don't matter to you; figure out what it is that draws you to the guitar and then figure out how to do that.
