About Insun
My curriculum focuses on YOU! Your goals and aspirations are always my #1 priority. Therefore it is my goal to build a unique curriculum for every single one of my students, focusing on what YOU want to get out of the experience.
In order to make your learning experience as accessible as possible, I offer lessons in person, as well as online. Additionally, I offer discounts for students, veterans, and first responders.
I have over 6 years of experience as a working musician, as well as over 3 years of experience teaching private lessons. I have been taking private lessons in bass for over 10 years, and guitar for 9 years. Additionally I am a music student at the University of Nevada Reno.

When presented with a new student, I always start by asking them where they see themselves in the future with their instrument. Are they playing in a rock band at a friends BBQ? Are they on tour with a country band? Are they playing smooth jazz in the studio? Are they writing songs in their bedroom to share with their friends and family? My goal is to build a curriculum that gives students the tools they need to achieve their aspirations, and feel good about their career in music.
There are many teachers out there, all with very unique outlooks on life, and methods of teaching. It is very important to make sure that the person who you chose to be your teacher has both the information you want to learn, as well as the means to teach it to you in a way that will resonate with you. The journey of learning an instrument should be fun, relaxing, and enjoyable.

Details
I charge a standard amount of 20$ per half hour lesson, and 35$ per one hour lesson. Additionally, all of my students have the privilege of texting me between lessons to ask questions about the material they are practicing, and satisfy random curiosities. I do offer reduced rates to improve my accessibility to students, veterans, and first responders.
