About Nicholas

Having spent over six years disecting the golf swing with our CompuSport computer model swing I am able to drill down to the key flaw in a students swing very quickly and help teach them how to evaluate their swing so going forward they will be able to recognize their tendancies.

I once had a wall Street hedge trader as a annual client . He was so stressed out he could not relax enugh for the lesson to do any good. we made a deal that he would run to the accademy and hit a bucket of balls prior to our session. It worked! he went on to a single digit handicap at his home club. Now thats a good feeling! Teaching is really just not giving up on your student, just find another way

As a college tennis player I made money giving lessons to nurses in the hospital I worked at. I found it was something I could do well. As my game began to progress I turned my same love for sharing the game with friends and coworkers. This led me to make the dicision to go into the PGA and start an education in the game that would make me a better teacher.

I was a PGA professional teaching at the Faldo Golf Institute for three years. I then moved over to The Grand Cypress Academy of Golf for another six years. I was the principal CompuSport instructor working as a team with another instructor to give the state of the art swing analysis using our computer modeling software. I worked on PGA, LPGA players as well as beginners and intermediate players.

About the lesson

I like to begin with some discovery, how long have you played, how much do you play / practice. Lets check your clubs. What are your goals and how much time can you put towards those goals. Then I let them hit a few balls. once I see and record their set up swing, we begin to isolate the pieces of the swing that are preventing progress. Set up and grip are essential but so too are body type flexibility and a host of othere varribles we will discuss. then we go to work

I have worked with PGA , LPGA , Champions tour and Mini tour players. I have done short game clinics for all skill levels with Phil Rogers, Specialty womens clinics with Karhy Whitworth (look her up!) and many celebrities have been on my deck taking video lessons with us at Grand Cypress academy of Golf. Dr J, Charles barkley, Bill Murry Sylvester Stallone and many others. I used to do an annual playing lesson with US senator Arlen Spector and many others.

i joined a golf league with my son so we could play once a week together as a team. we would hit the range an hour befor tee time to work on his swing. By the end of the league I was teaching four young guns who got into golf to play with my son. All are now fine golfers and one has even joined his high school golf team. Thats a good Dad day!
