About Austin

I am a PGA Professional Certified in Teaching and Coaching. I work with a K-Vest Motion Measurment device which allows me quickly identify problems in your swing and train you to get closer to tour player like positions.

I am also TPI certified. Which enables me to find out any movement issues you may have and how they are affecting your golf swing. This allows me to develop an efficient way for each individual to play better golf each day and limit injury risk.

I get the chance to help people to enjoy the game that I love. It's always worth the hard work to see a student light up when they hit their best shot ever, or hit their first draw, or shoot their personal best round.

PGA Certified Professional in Teaching and Coaching.
TPI Golf Level 2.

About the lesson

1. Get to know you and your game currently along with your most important goals

2. Assess Your Swing

3. Prioritize what's most important to helping you reach your goals

4. Get to work. We help you improve your fundamentals and develop a motion that is simple, repeatable and creates solid contact, good distance (club speed), and accuracy to help you hit fairways and greens.

I have worked with virtually every level of player from aspiring Tour players down to the Beginner level player who has never swung a club.

Find a coach who teaches with knowledge and understanding of how you move, not someone who teaches to their preferences to make a "perfect golf swing"

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about how you are going to practice the changes you are going to attempt. Many guided practice platforms with either biofeedback or video practice are available, and that can be the difference between you getting better and not.

Perfect! They work with your specific swing and body characteristics instead of trying to force you into a box

Perfect! I’ve only had the first lesson but Austin kept it simple picked one thing that would really make a marked improvement on my swing that I could focus on over the next week or so before my next lesson. After 24 hours I played nine holes and hit some balls and the concept is clear in my mind I’m able to execute it and when I do the contact and flight of my ball has already improved dramatically!

Doc

I am an avid golfer but through the years my game has declined with a loss of club head speed and distance. After 4 lessons with Austin I gained 30 yards off the tee and my irons were back to being crisp and compressed. Austin is very knowledgeable about the swing and he communicates it in a way that makes it simple. He improved my chipping, pitching, putting and restored my POWER!!!!!

Austin is very thorough and innovative with his golf instruction, and I highly recommend Get a Grip Golf for all skill levels.
Austin has provided me with the science and mechanics behind a good golf swing, along with drills, which have allowed me to drop 8-10 strokes in the past 3 months.
I would highly recommend Austin at Get a Grip Golf.

Austin is the perfect sports/golf instructor and coach. He is an expert tactician who can find the smallest nuance in my swing and quickly correct it. More importantly, his style is very motivating and effective - he is patient yet leads you to be your best and is friendly but also critical of your performance when you need it.

Austin is a great teacher and really takes the time to figure out what you need instead of an out of the box lesson. He has really helped my game go to the next level and I can't wait for our next lesson.
