About Jay

I have extensive Teaching and Tournament experience. I am able to taylor a lesson to a students learning style. I am able to work with the student to find a way to get them to play to their potential.

I am an experienced Tournament Player, PGA Head Golf Professional, and General Manager. I believe in coaching golf vs. teaching. You are in it together with your atheletes. Coached Brewster Academy Golf Team for 7 years. 26 years of group lesson and private lesson experience including video analysis. I enjoy providing my golfers with excellent golf experiences!

Elected to the PGA September of 1999

NHPGA Player of the Year 2005

Director of Golf Wentorth Golf Club (present)

At the age of 8 years old I would help my father with his group lessons that I was involved in. Demonstrating the proper technique visually, especially to young players is important.

My father was a PGA Professional at the same facility for 38 years. I received my PGA rating in 1999. We have developed a group lesson format that is gauranteed to help nearly all players even those who have disabilities.

About the lesson

How long have you played? What is your handicap? What do you shoot for a round of golf? This enables me to find out where we need to begin.

I have worked with Profesionals, Members, Juniors, and players who have physical and mental disabilities.

The best thing to do is find someone who can work with you and not overload you with information and technical details. A little at a time in golf instruction is the best to build upon.

Our Member Guest in July was a huge success. It was well attended, the weather was great, and the food in the evening was great.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
You want to learn all the shots. Do not just go to the driving range. Putting, chipping, and pitch shots, are all equally importand as ball striking and driving the ball.
