About Leah
I began tutoring as an undergraduate. Post graduation. I completed a Montessori training. I was a substitute teacher for over 2 years and most recently I've taught at the French Alliance in Austin.
I am a native French and English speaker. My Primary and secondary schooling were completed at the LFNY, a French based program in New York . I graduated with a Bachelor's in French Literature and I currently teach at the Alliance Francaise of Austin.

I begin by asessing a student's level in French. I then want to understand what motivates them and what their goals are in relation to French.
I've worked with children and adutls. My youngest student is 4 years old. My oldest student is 68 years old. I enjoy both approaches when teaching the language.
it's important to have a good connection with the teacher. A student should feel relaxed and open to making mistakes.
I've enjoyed watching my students incorporate their French into crerative projects. Most recently, I had a student write a song in French and perform it.
