About Bhagyashree

I've started playing the flute more than ten years ago. I want to teach kids the basics and have them enjoy the instrument as much as I do. I am a student at RPI and so I can relate to kids well since I'm not too far from their age. I want to spread the beauty that comes with playing the flute.

I have a passion for playing the flute and I want to pass it on to others.

I have been playing the flute for over 10 years and have taken private lessons myself. I've also taught some friends.

About the lesson

Go over the basics and teach them proper technique.

Ask the kid what kind of music they want to be playing and gear them towards that so they don't loose interest.

Look for a teacher that knows your interests and caters to it.

I played Indian songs on the flute at my Indian events. I also like to listen to songs and try to play them on my flute without looking at the actual notes. I want to be able to help kids do that as well. Let them know they aren't limited when playing.
