During tenure at Bank of America/Merrill tutored, mentored and trained colleagues in banking, finance and brokerage for Series 7 General Securities Exam, Series 66 Uniform Securities and Regulation Exam. The New Jersey and New York Department of Banking and Insurance state licensing exams. And all financial planning modules of the CFP Board of Standards.

About the lesson

Gather all graded assignements, quizes and exams to obtain which concepts were misunderstood.

Review all of the graded material with the student to find out where to begin and teach concepts in order of difficulty.

If the goal is to get the best grade possible then you focus on the weaknesses.

For example, grade 65% review the missed 35% if he or she scores a 65% on that then .65 times 35 = another 23 points!

Assuming the student understood the other 65% then an additional 23 points is an 88% a B+

If the test is a 70% then study concepts of missed 30% then

.70 x 30 = 21. 70+21= 91% an A

Ask the other tutors for their transcripts and compare them to mine, apples to apples, I can teach you how to get an A because I graduated in the top 90th percintile of my graduating class in college.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask the teachers for name of all of the required books. Get the title, ISBN #, edition, publication date and author's name. As well, which type of calculator if needed.

Ask your teacher for the syllabus and how the grade is calculated.

Ask your teacher where you stand and what you need to do going forward to get the best possible grade?

Ask the teacher if you can do extra assignements to make up for the assignments or quizes which may have been misunderstood and do not accurately reflect your dedication to the material. Ask the teacher if with the Dean's approval you can retake a midterm exam or final exam.
