About Sean
I have taught 20 years in public education. I specialize in helping struggling readers and those that find early math challenging.
When working with struggling readers, I focus on building sight word recognition and using phonics/decoding strategies to help my student discover as love of reading.
Student struggling in early math often have a lack of number sense. I use various strategies based upon their needs to help them become more comfortable with numbers and confident in solving problems.
I have taught lower elementary students for 20 years.

I like to find common interests when possible with my students. This opens more lines of communication and makes my students more comfortable and willing to work harder to reach their goals. Once that rapor us established, I assess where my students are academically to determine the best course of action when it comes to instruction.
