About Renée
I am a certified teacher, passionate about the social sciences, and want to encourage students to become teachers themselves. I am personable, able to differentiate instruction to each student, and understand the ways that COVID-19 has greatly impacted learning. Although I am a recent graduate, I have worked teaching students in 1-3rd grade and 6-9th, specifically. I have taught students labeled with autism, various learning disabilities, as well as struggling readers. I am currently employed by the public school system and proud of it!
I love teaching and learning! It is my passion to reciprocally teach and learn alongside children for my career. The creative challenge of finding new ways to teach is exciting and something I look forward to doing with your student!

I typically like to ask students how they best learn. I believe that children know what gets through to them and in what ways I can make learning more fun and accessible. I would also love to speak with a parent or guardian to hear how they've seen their student succeed and when they seem to enjoy learning. Additionally, I would like to hear about various disabilities (if any) or ways that I should be pre-emptively differentiating instruction. Then it is a bit of testing out to see what works best for us to get into a groove of learning and working together!
