About Lisa
What makes my service stand out is the way I connect with students. It is my aim to truly understand each student's goals and learning needs to provide the most effective instruction possible with the highest level of enjoyment.
I believe literacy is power, and find great satisfaction in being able to empower students through developing their literacy skills. I especially love reading and discussing great literature because it makes this process the most enjoyable.
I have a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, a master's degree in American Studies with an emphasis in Literature, and a single subject teaching credential in English. I currently teach Academic Writing at Heritage Junior High in Escondido. Additionally, I have taught college literature courses, and summer reading enrichment programs for all age levels.
