About Katie
During college, I tutored English as a second language to international students of various nationalities and backgrounds.
I have taught after-school art classes to pre-kindergarten and kidergarten students, in a bilingual setting, since 2015.
Being fluent in French and English, I have and continue to work in international settings, as this is where I truly thrive.

In one-to-one tutoring sessions, I find that it is most effective to first understand what students desire to gain from a session before designing a course of action for the student. I am comfortable approaching each tutoring session indepentently, but I also enjoy planning long-term in order to help students exceed specific language goals.
I like to accommodate students' goals in particular, while also providing them with methods to improve writing, speaking and general language production. I hope that my students may achieve their particular goals, but I also hope that I may guide them toward more fluent and grammatically-correct language understanding.
In tutoring English as a second language or French, I do like to emphasize an allotted amount of time per session for organic conversation to take place.
In working on writing skills, I like to focus on becoming an eloquent and a concise writer giving adequate consideration to grammar.
