About Travis
Travis Klein holds an MS in economics from Purdue University and a BS from the University of Arizona. He has taught high school economics and AP micro/macro since 2007. Travis also teaches micro and macroeconomics at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. He is passionate about the economic way of thinking and your success.
I was frustrated by working in the corporate world and wanted to make a difference in the world.
I hold a post bachelorette teaching certificate and an active Arizona teaching certificate. I have been a classroom teacher since 2007 and have only taught high school at title 1 schools.

Similar to when I'm teaching, I want to find out their interests so I can tailor the examples to their interests. I also want to find out what they know and what they need to know.
Title 1 high school students. AP students, who have earned above-average scores in my courses. I have also taught community college students since 2016.
I would recommend they look for someone who has teaching experience and someone who can think of relevant examples for the student. I would also recommend someone who takes an interest in the student's success.
As I write this, its month 4 of the COVID19 pandemic and I've largely been at home. I spend a lot of time with my four-year-old daughter and teaching her to cook has been a fun experience.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should ask about teaching experience and if they have had success getting their students to reach their goals in the past.
