About Mikin

Hi. This is Mikin Shah. I am a teacher and an entrepreneur. I offer tutoring services under the brand name of "foresight school".

My academic credentials are MBA, CFA and FRM. I enjoy teaching concepts related to finance, business, math, statistics, investments and risk. I strive for simplicity and conceptual clarity while teaching.

I have also aced entrance exams like GRE and GMAT. I have been teaching students for last 15 years.

After I finished my engineering degree, I had appeared for GRE and had scored well. I got an offer from a local institute to help students who were preparing for GRE and other similar exams on a part-time basis. This is how I started teaching and have never looked back.

I have majored in finance by attaining the CFA and FRM charters. I also have an engineering background which helps me in Math. I have been tutoring students since last 15 years.

About the lesson

I typically interact with the student and understand his or her academic background. I make sure to understand the exact requirement of the student. Thereafter, I try to provide an estimate of the time and effort required for the learing assignment. Finally I work with the student to decide the specifics such as time slots, cost and other aspects.

High-school, Undergraduate as well as Postgraduate students.

Look for simplicity of approach and conceptual clarity.

I recently helped one of my students in achieving a score of 307 at GRE. The student had low confidence for Math section but with practice, he gained confidence. I could also explain to him problematic topics like counting methods and probability.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should be clear about the time and effort that will be required for learning. They should focus on gaining understanding rather than just completing academic tasks.
