About Lyris

DJ Lyris has a passion of sharing and teaching anyone who wants to learn more about dj'in. This experience is unlike any DJ course in that you get DJ Lyris as your personal, one on one trainer. You'll learn the fundamentals the right way to deliver a strong foundation on which you can pursue any avenue in the DJ business.

5 Units

Unit 1: Setup and Break Down DJ Equipment

In this session you will learn how to set up your own equipment and breakdown for any gig - I’m teaching how to break down equipment so you can be in any setting - whether its a controller or turntable.

Unit 2: Music Organization (Crate Structure)

In this session you will learn how to organize your music and libraries in order to optimize your workflow during gigs.

Unit 3 - Part 1: Count Music / Beat Gridding

In this session you will learn the fundamentals of how to count music and bars.

Unit 3 - Part 2: Count Music / Beat Gridding

In this session you will learn the fundamentals of how to count music and bars.

Unit 4: Beat Matching / Mixing / Blending

In this session you will learn the fundamentals of how to blend tracks together.

Unit 5: Basic Scratches

In this session you will learn two basic scratches: “The Baby Scratch” and “The Chirp”

I love to share the experiences I've learned through the industry. Having a background in teaching and instructing, I enjoy sharing new ideas and ways to deliver learning for all people.

I've been dj'in for over 10 years. I have a DJ certification with Scratch Academy and have learned from several DJ'S since 2010. I'm a Roland Dj Amabassador and specialize in the Roland Dj controllers, turntables, and AllVinyl sets.
