About Mary Beth
The Dance Centre is a traditional (non-competition) dance studio which offers classes in a wide variety of dance styles including classical ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, musical theater and lyrical. We also have a specialized pre-school program for toddlers and preschool age children. Our staff takes a big picture approach to teaching our students, looking at developing our dancers through the years to be strong, well-rounded students who have a passion for dance and a sense of community and teamwork within the studio.
I have been teaching in the Rome, GA community for 40 years and in the Centre, AL community for 17 years. Just this past season, I graduated 9 senior girls, 6 of whom had been with me since they were preschoolers. I love being part of my students’ lives from the time they are wide-eyed toddlers until they become beautiful, graceful young ladies. I enjoy mentoring and providing a safe zone for my students to be in as they navigate growing up in a difficult world.
