STARLIGHT DANCE CENTER is a world class gem located in the heart of Nutley, New Jersey. This 10,000 square foot studio is a charming and welcoming dance center for you and your entire family.Professional dancer Katharina Giannico decided to share her passion for dance in January, 2003 in this affordable and beloved dance center with fans of all ages. On any given day, you will find children frolicking: senior citizens falling in love all over again and adults learning not just to dance but to socialize with one another. The vibe is warm and the gorgeous ballroom complete with a 4,000 square foot performance floor is a magical spot to try out your old-or new-moves.STARLIGHT's professional dance instructors will transport you to a world where you can leave your troubles behind, as you learn the steps to American Rhythm and Ballroom Social dancing, International Style Latin and Ballroom, Hustle, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Salsa and more. All of our instructors participate in on going educational classes to ensure that they are ready and prepared to teach you the right information.

About the lesson

Our highly trained instructors take the time to get to know each student personally to ensure a fun and exciting learning environement. Whether you are preparing for your first wedding dance, a competition or the next office party we have the tools to prepare you to feel confident and excited to step on the dance floor.

We work with students ages 3 to 90. We have wedding couples, father/daugter pairs, couples that compete in the international curcuit and those who frequent classes once a week for fun! We have something for everyone!

In November we partened with the Global Dance Art Group and sponsored a fundraiser for dancers with special needs. This was a beautiful event with dancers volunteering their time and performances for a fabulous cause. We were honored to host such a special event and look forward to hosting again next fall.
