About MariaPia
Director and Head Instructor of Nashville Tango Club MariaPia De Pasquale, native of Milan, Italy, started dancing Argentine Tango in 2001. She was the Artistic Director, Head Instructor and choreographer for former non-profit Tango Nashville. Currently she is the director of Nashville Tango Club. MariaPia has studied with internationally renowned Argentine Tango dancers.She has performed at the Tennessee Latino Awards Gala, artistic events in Cheekwood, the Frist Museum, festivals and at local entertainment venues. She has been a faculty member of the Nashville Ballet, the Vanderbilt Dance Program and the Metro Nashville Arts Center, and currently teaches at the Global Education Center. MariaPia choreographs and performs at special events and presentations, and she also hosts 'Milongas' (the Argentine Tango dance/social gatherings) for the growing and enthusiastic local community. As Head Instructor, MariaPia teaches individual and group classes, and workshops.
Argentine Tango is an elegant and sensual dance that makes two people connect thru its music. It is a hymn to seduction, which music, poetry and passion are a part of. MariaPia has been so enchanted by this sensual and creative dance and so enraptured that learning, dancing and teaching Tango became the main activity of her free time.
When MariaPia moved to Nashville in 2002 she made it her mission to bring Argentine Tango to Nashville. To accomplish her task, MariaPia co-funded TangoNashville first and Nashville Tango Club later to expose and educate Nashvillians to the passion of this extraordinary art.

Argentine Tango is a very technical dance, beased on improvisation, requires comittment and a lot of practice. Do not expect to learn Argentine Tango in few classes

I've taken classes with Nashville Tango Club for the past 7 years. Basically they took a guy that had never danced before and taught not only the basics of dance but the more intricate social nuances of Argentine Tango. I would highly recommend Nashville Tango for beginners as well as advanced students
Their dedication to tango and endless patience for teaching it. Friendly and fun learning enviroment.
Instructor is friendly and knowledgeable. Works hard to keep the tango community going. Generous with time. reasonable fees for lessons.
I am currently taking private classes with MariaPia because I needed to do a complete review of lead & follow plus technique in Argentine Tango. I am in awe of MariaPia's extensive knowledge and ability to convey that knowledge! I am looking forward to being able to participate in the Nashville Tango group classes and dance practices, & I feel MariaPia's instruction will prepare me for some excellent dancing!

Details
I do offer private classes and the cost is 60$/hr or $250 for 5 classes paid in advance for 1 person
or $80/hr or $350 for 5 classes for a couple.
For wedding first dance choreography the cost is $90/hr for a couple (includes choreography and music editing) and min 4 hours requested.
No extra fee for renting space as I have a dancing floor at home.
