About Zoe

Dancing since before I was born, I had performed the works of world-renowned choreographers by the time I was 18 years old. My versatile background as a professional dancer has led me to choreograph for major recording artists, brands + companies such as Grammy award-winning electronic musician ZHU, VIDAL SASSOON & Katie Grand's "LOVE" Magazine. I am trained in modern/jazz/blues, hip hop, contemporary, house, African dance, ballet and partner work. My background as an interdisciplinary artist has also led me to work behind-the-scenes on shows like So You Think You Can Dance + America's Got Talent. I love to share my joy + love of dance with others and guide you in becoming the dancer you are meant to be. Every single dancer is different — there is no one way — and it is about feeling the freedom to find your own style & groove that makes you who you are.

I started teaching at 16 years old in the studio I grew up at. I've taught in dance studios, after-school programs, summer camps, community centers & organizations in NYC, LA, San Francisco, New England and the Caribbean over the past 15 years.

About the lesson

We will discuss your goals and dance experience thus far, and I will guide you through a process that will allow you to achieve them.

All types! Beginners, intermediate, advanced. Pre-Professional + Professional. Children, teens + adults.

It's all about finding the right person — with the right kind of experience — for you. Make sure the teacher really knows the foundation and culture of what they are teaching you. It's not just a dance step. To learn to dance, it's about finding your groove and flow. It's not about the teacher — it's about you.

I've been teaching an Open Movement Series in UCLA's Sculpture Garden through the Hammer Museum this summer and I've been absolutely loving the experience guiding students through dance in the outdoors!
