About Daniel-Ardeshir

I am a social dancer to the core. I dance Salsa, Chacha, and Bachata more than proficiently, and dance and teach my real love, Social (Argentine, not Ballroom) Tango.

I also DJ all the major tango clubs (i.e., milongas) in Los Angeles and, when I am asked and can, milongas outside of the country.

We dance religiously so much of what you learn from me and my co-instructor, Zoe, is how to navigate the dance club and floor with ease and to feel confident with your dance fundamentals. These fundamentals will enable you to begin to find your own sense of rhythm, balance, musciality, and movement in and out of social tango.

I enjoy teaching because it enables me to live out one of my personally dearest interests every single day while also getting compensated for it.

But even more that...as the saying goes, "you never really learn something until you teach it." Each and every time I instruct a move, a feeling, a style, an affectation, or pattern, I instantly become the better at it and better for it.

Lastly, I am also trained as a psychotherapist and thus it is no surprise that I am somewhat addicted to observing students getting why dance (and especially social tango) is so fun and fulfilling. I enjoy when students gain greater confidence in the ways they move and the ways that they choose to express themselves.

Dance lessons offered by Daniel-Ardeshir are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Los Angeles. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
