About Erin

I love to teach and share my passion for all things theater and dance. I am incredibly personable and fun. I break steps down to their basic form and build confidence as we build the skill. I add as much humor as possible while staying on track with goals.

I love watching people accomplish skills and gain confidence in areas they never thought were possible.

I have always loved sharing my passion and knowledge. I am not sure how I first started. I feel as though I have always been teaching.

I have a BA(Hons) in Acting from the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts

BEd from Ontario Institute for Studies in Education

I have taken many master classes in dance and acting as well as taught many classes and workshops.

About the lesson

I typical ask what students' goals are, how they see themselves presently, and how they typically learn. I adapt lessons and strategies to each student as we go along. Flexibility is key. Consistency is important as well.

I have worked with people from all skill levels and all backgrounds. I love meeting people and helping them along their performance journey.

I would advise a student to find an instructor with whom they feel comfortable, with whom they respect, and one that is personable and speaks with confidence in their field.

I am currently choreographing Beauty and the Beast for a joint school performance of all the middle and high schools of a district. I LOVE it! I challenge the kids to do more than they think is possible and the result is amazing. It is one of my favorite events every year.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should have an idea of what they want out of their time commitment. They should ask teachers to give them examples of their work, and to give them a little background of his or her life.
