About Eddy

I work with students of all ages, and provide them my knowledge in the arts and how they can use it in their own endeavors.

The entire process. From beginning to the end. Especially when I notice the physical and emotional growth, students develop from my classes.

I got my start at the studio in Calle Ocho called "Dance Art Fitness." I went inside one day as a sophomore in High School and gave them this dream I was trying to pursue. They gave me a chance to work with their students, and the students loved me, so I was offered a position there as an instructor.

Although I can do all age groups, including adults. I got my start at a dance studio in calle ocho named Dance Art Fitness where I became the youngest instructor at the time, 16, when I was in highschool. I stayed teaching there leading up to my first year in college. I was a self-trained artist that was granted the ability to put my creativity into motion at this studio. I am now 24 years old, with more knowledge in the arts than ever.

About the lesson

The very first thing I do is learn the student's ability to retain movement. Then I begin providing movements that I know the student can physically demonstrate. In the end, leading to a choreography designed for the student to perform.

I have worked with all kinds of students. From the most advanced, to those who have never danced before. I carry a special "earworm" learning technique that makes all my student learn the choreographies I provide to them.

I would recommend looking for an instructor who is genuinely interested in your own growth, and your success as an artist. I would also recommend leading your dance learning appointments to an ultimate performance you plan on executing, that way both you and instructor have something to work towards to with a set goal in place.

This is not a requirement for me, but it will definitely create a more motivating environment.

I had a performance in 2019 that I choreographed. It was for my old elementary school graduation granted by my childhood principal, and I decided to choreograph the kids a piece that relied heavily on emotional delivery more than "wow factor." Many were doubtful, but the performance was a success and parents were touched that night.

(There was 30 students in that performance, and the majority of them aren't familiar with dance instinctiveness.)

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should ultimately ask themselves what they plan on doing with these courses and how these courses would benefit them. Most students already have an idea in mind, they just might be too shy to share. If so, let them find the courage to express as they build more confidence within these courses. If they have any doubts at all, I always recommend speaking to their instructors about it for comfort and answers.
