About Jada
“Jada’s Balcony” is a concept that I created for those who require a safe space to grow and develop as dancers and as individuals. It is where you gain originality, and the ability to dictate the pace of your journey in the style of HipHop. With my experience leading, teaching and choreographing for diverse age groups and backgrounds I am able to properly mitigate any learning gaps that may be encountered. My hope is for all of my students to walk away with a deep understanding of the genre and essential tools to further their development in this style (freestyling, choreographing, performance, etc) and a new passion for dance.

I have always had a passion for fine arts and I figured out early on that I had an eye for leadership. It wasn't until highschool where I was elected as dance officer that the two worlds collided. Once I was accepted into A&M I was sure this is where my dance story would end, but quite the opposite happened. I tried out for Fade to Black dance team and my journey skyrocketed from there.
I have directed a total of 4 teams since I started the "My Balcony" lessons, all of which have either competed and/or perfromed via showcases. I have experience in creating and choreographing concept pieces for production sets, in which I have done multiple.

My typical process is to first figure out what makes you, you. I understand that it may sound cliche, but it is very important to know who the individual is as it will help you with expression, emotion, etc.
I have worked with students from age 7, all the way to adults. This is the result of gaining work experience at my local studios, college fitness center and college dance team. No individual dancer is alike, no matter the background you will always have your own identity and movement. This is what I enjoy most about teaching.
My advice would be to recognize where you stand as a dancer presently? Are you someone who has no issues getting out in front of a crowd, or do you typically shy away from these spectacles? Although training will most certainly help you as an overall dancer, it is important to know the foundation that you will be building from.

Jada is a very efficient and thorough teacher. Not only did she make sure I understood every step of the dances, but she taught me ways to execute them that made me look good as a dancer. Hey choreography and style is like no other and if I could dance with and/or learn from her everyday, I would!
