American Russian Ballet is a dance school in Hackensack, NJ, based on the Russian (Vaganova) method of classical ballet - for students of all ages, levels and backgrounds.

Anastasiia Fedorova (Анастасия Федорова) was born in Moscow, Russia. While growing up in Moscow, Anastasiia began studying dance at the age of 5 years old. She graduated from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (MGAH) in 2011. She continued her ballet training at Bolshoi to acquire her Bachelor Degree (Qualified Bachelor of Choreographic Training and Teaching) in 2014. Principal dancers from The Bolshoi Theatre that mentored her: Tatiana Galtseva, Alla Boguslavskaia, Irina Pyatkina. Anastasiia was given many opportunities to dance numerous roles in classical repertoire performed in the Bolshoi Theatre such as: Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, Don Quixote and Notre Dame de Pari with choreographer Roland Petit. After graduation Anastasiia was invited to work for Kremlin Ballet Company, where she danced all classical repertoires like: Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Giselle, Le Corsaire, Don Quixote, and many others. While on a world tour with Kremlin Ballet, she experienced the most prestigious stages in various countries like; United Arab Emirates, Greece, China, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, France, Estonia, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia and many cities throughout Russia.
In 2012, Anastasiia competed in the International Ballet Competition – “Transformation” in St. Petersburg, winning 1st place in two categories: “The Classical Dance Solo” and the “The Folk Dance Solo”. Then in 2015, she competed in the World Ballet Art Competition in New York City, winning 1st place, which got her an invitation to go to the finals in Canada in 2016. Anastasiia was selected to participate in the 2013 G-20 Summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, a multimedia show, during an annual international meeting of world leaders. In attendance of this G-20 Summit was, President of the United States of America; Barak Obama, German Chancellor; Angela Merkel, and British Prime Minister; David Cameron, among other world leaders. Anastasiia’s talent also landed her in a reality show called “Russian Ballet” in 2015 and Russian film directed by Valeri Todorovski. This film called “Bolshoi” featured her as the character Lena Krasnorutskaya, which premiered in 2017. In 2014, Anastasiia first moved to New York City, where she got an invitation from Brighton Ballet Theatre as a soloist, which soon became principal, and a ballet instructor. She later on started to work with Gelsey Kirkland Ballet as well. In 2015, she went on to work with American Swiss Ballet as a soloist. Soon after, she began to work with Metropolitan Ballet in Minnesota and Victoria Ballet Theatre in New Jersey as a principal dancer. She also began dancing and teaching with Belle Ballet in Minnesota for their summer intensive program for 3 years running. In 2017, Anastasiia went on to take a Summer Intensive with American Ballet Theater through their college program.

Anastasiia is distinguished by the purity of her classical and lyrical style of her dance. Currently, Anastasiia is with Connecticut Ballet where she began dancing in November 2017. She performed soloist roles in; Raymonda Variations, Darrell Grand Moultrie’s Contemporary work – “PULSE”, Eve Chan – “The Moon,” Petruska (Gypsy), and Nutcracker.
