About Kaelyn

I am very committed to understanding and teaching all styles of dance, being a charismatic and encouraging teacher and leader for others, very passionate about teaching people of all ages to the unique art of Dance, and serving all people both professionally, and in the community.

- I have been dancing since I was 7 years old, with primary training in Modern, Contemporary, and Ballet

- I have been training at the San Diego Ballet, Academy 831(Brea, CA), and Millenieum Dance Complex(Anaheim, CA)

- I am currently studying Dance at Belmont University in Nashville, TN

- I have vast performance, choreography, and teaching experience in styles of Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, Jazz Funk, and Musical Theatre

- I occasionally teach Zumba, Salsa, Acro, and Wedding Dance lessons

About the lesson

1. Ask which style(s) they would like to focus on.
2. How they want these classes to benefit them (personally, physically etc.)

3. Establish a personal dance goal to develop a true passion and understanding of dance.

I have worked with children ages 3-18 years old for the past 4 years, and I absolutely love working with kids!
I have recently been able to teach adults via Zoom and in-person in styles of Zumba, Ballet, and Contemporary.
I enjoy working with all types of students, including students who have special needs or disabilities.

I would advise future dance students to hire a dance teacher who has vast training and experience in the specific style of their interest, and is less than a 30 minute commute from home. Also, I would suggest students schedule a phone call before starting classes with a dance teacher to understand the teacher's personality, and dance teaching style.

1. What genre of songs do I enjoy dancing/listening to?
2. Which style of dance interests and excites me the most?
3. What do I want to work towards as a potential dance student, and as a person through these dance classes?
4. Do I want a more professional or personal relationship with my dance teacher?
