About Arica

Offering Billings, Montana and surrounding areas the finest and funnest in dance education. We teach all ballroom, Latin, country western, and swing dance styles. Ages 6-adults. Group and private lessons. We also specialize in wedding dance lessons/choreography! Social or competitive. Beginning or adnaved level, we are the studio for you!

I attended a university for training in Latin and ballroom education. I’ve always had a passion for dance and a natural teaching style. I started teaching through my internships and as a student teacher at the university. Following that i coached youth ballroom programs. I then taught private lessons and opened my own studio.

5 years of BYU-Idaho education in ballroom dance instruction. Internships in youth programs. 16 years teaching experience. DVIDA syllabius. Imperial Society syllabus.forner ballroom and Latin competitor and professional dance company performer.

We love to welcome new people to the studio and invite you to have your free consultation to learn more about us and how we can help you teach your dance goals.

I love that there is something for everyone at my studio. No matter your age, skill level, or dance studio. People come through my doors from all walks of life and it adds to the wonderful energy of The Beat Bsllroom Company!

Do your research! There are a lot of untrained, sel-proclaimed instructors out there who prey on those who don’t realize how much training and education is necessary to teach these styles of dancing properly and safely. Some red flags to look out for: do they teach on a wood floor? Are they trained/certified instructors? If so to what extent? Do they emphasize good leading/following techniques? Are they priced at a professional rate? (Remember you always get what you pay for!) Can they answer all of your questions clearly and knowledgeably?

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Have you ever danced before?letting the instructor know where to begin with you is most important. Do you have any health concerns the instructor should be made aware of? This is not to exclude you, but to accommodate you. Whatvstyke of dance are you interested in learning first? Will you be taking lessons as a single or a couple? What are your dance goals?

Details

Group lessons are $15/person. Private lessons of 1-6 persons is $70/hr lesson. Groups of 7+ or event teaching is $100/hr.
