Since 1947, our passion is helping to enrich lives – physically, mentally, emotionally and socially – through the positive, transforming power of dance. When I was 12 years old I won a little competiton with my partner and as a prize I got to dance with the German champion a Vienniese Waltz. I was blown away on spot.
Since that time I coached, trained, assisted and competed and still teach to this day.
All of our teachers are Fred Astaire Certified. Some of our Coaches are even Certified in several Levels and Programs like the DVIDA curriculum.
Me personally I am certified in the Fred Astaire System/Curriculum Beginner to Gold. I have been trained in the International Style of dancing Standart and Latin in Germany since I was 12 years old.
Fred Astaire Dance Studios Teachers need to go through a certification every 6 month.

We invite every new student to try us out for free and develope their own opinion about us. We introduce a new student to a couple of the ballroom and latin dances. We eveluate how fast the student can pick up the material and to estimate which program or level be best to recommend.
We work with any type of student. We want to make sure that everybody is on the same page. That is a nother reason why we offer our introductory lesson.
Having fun is #1 !!!
Always have fun while learning. Of course there must be concentration as well, but you need to know where your limits are. Dancing is compared a lot of times to playing the piano it needs a lot of practice and sometimes it can get frustrating.
So keep smiling and have fun.

Caring, knowledgable, and lots of fun. Melinda took a man with 2 left feet and taught him to dance. Enjoyed every minute we spent together.
We chose Melinda as our dance instructor for our wedding dance. She is very warm and welcoming, a great and patient teacher, and makes every step extremely fun! We wanted to continue our lessons after our wedding as well because of how much we'd learned and how much fun we've have with Melinda and ultimately, as a couple. I'd recommend Melinda as an instructor to a dancer of any level, any age and any background.
