About Marti
I'm a patient teacher that loves to encourage exploration of new stitches, techniques and cultures. The whole idea is to have fun while learning!
I was taught to knit and crochet quite young. I was proficient at both before age 12. My love of fiber and yarn is evident in my home. At the moment, I hope in to incorporate weaving into my list of skills.
My best friend showed interest and fascination for knitting and crocheting. I discovered I loved teaching her and want to teach others.
Only the education of knitting for about 40 years.

I like to know what my students goals are as well expectations. I teach in very casual way with the basics. People have different experience levels I can work with.
In seeking a knitting teacher, look for experience. Being a great knitter for 10 years isn't long enough to teach anyone. Avoid instructors that are rigid and inflexible in their approach.
