About Damara
Why I love tutoring students in coding, because I have a passion for computer programming since I was young. However, growing up, it was hard to find mentors or like-minded people where I grew up at that had the same passion for computer programming as I did. Ever since I started college at Troy University, I started to tutor other students in the Computer Science program how to code and also with their coding projects.
How I started tutoring is that when growing up I notice many people that were knowledgeable in computer programming making videos and helping students out. Since I have knowledge of certain programming languages that is what motivated me to start tutoring other students.
The education or training that I have that relates to my work is that I have a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science. Also, I have been a tutor for 4+ years tutoring students in Microsoft Office 365 products and computer programming for the following languages in C++, Java, and HTML.

My typical process for working with a new student is seeing where do they stand in that subject by creating an exam to see what they do and do not understand. Then create a roadmap that we can follow for them to understand the certain subject they need help in.
