Kerr is a patient and cheerful teacher. When I began her online Copperplate course, I knew very little about pointed pen calligraphy; I had concentrated on broad-edge hands like Italic and Foundational. I also knew very little about online classes. Through her instruction and clear explanations of the forms and techniques of Copperplate, I learned so much. She gave me a sound foundation in pointed pen calligraphy.

Kerr is well-versed in both broad-edge and pointed pen Calligraphy hands, teaching both one-on-one and in group settings. She delivers a comfortable learning style, that addresses the needs of both beginning and advanced students. She has participated, for many years, as both a student herself and president of two calligraphy guilds.
