Initially, I like to teach my students about posture, instrument maintainence and how to keep relaxed while playing. Next, I assess their level of musical knowledge (how many years have they been playing, sight reading/singing).

Mark Peterson’s talent is unique and rare. Mark and I have collaborated on several music performance projects over the years and he expertly demonstrates superior musicianship in any setting. He’s particularly impressive as a collaborative ensemble musician and has a special skill set for leading ensembles as well. He connects with audiences as well he does with fellow musicians. Mark is an asset in any live music performance situation and for recording as well.
