About Heath

I have been around the game for 30 yrs and coached and played from 2nd grade through college.I can teach you anything you need to learn.

I enjoy building confidence in the kids as I teach and to watch them improve everytime they practice as they build their skills.

I started coaching highschool basketball in the late 80s cause I had a bunch of experiance and wisdom I wanted to share with the kids.

I played power foward/center at 6ft 9 cause my teams never had a big man so I learned how to play in the post. My strengths were playing hard nose defense and rebounding. If you have the heart and desire as well as mind for the game you can frusterate and shut down anybody.

About the lesson

usually we play alittle one on one to see what the individual has to offer and then as we play we discuss what he or she wants to inprove.

Anybody who wants to improve their skill set in a one on one learning environment. I can teach you anything you wish to learn and probably somethings you may not have even thought about.

Find a coach that knows what they are doing . Ask as many questions as you can to get to feel comfortable with the coach. We are here to help you improve thats the most important thing.

The YMCA and other groups do great work with the youth in shaping them and making well rounded young men and women through their sports programs.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How hard they are willing to work and how bad they really want to work to achieve the desired level of expertice. The old saying is true "There is always going to be someone better than you" How hard do you want to work to catch them?
