About Vernon C

Offers above & beyond quality basketball training for both boys & girls at any level.

I enjoy working with young people. I am a great teacher & motivator of young people.

I started teaching & coaching n college. This is something that I luv 2 do. I am an excellent communicator & teacher of fundamentals 4 boys & girls.

I have played high school, college, AAU, & semi pro basketball. I have coached n the Olathe basketball league & the Premier basketball league. I am currently Head Coach & part owner of the Kansas City Grillers (semi pro) team here n Kansas City. I am also asst. Coach 4 the ladies Kansas City Stampede team. I have a B S degree from Emporia State n Physical Education with a minor n Health.

About the lesson

First, I send all my kids through a series of drills 2 c exactly where their skill level is. I like 2 get their input on what they feel that they need 2 work on & what position they primarily play. I like 2 find out if they have played competitively & the position they played.

I have worked with boys & girls @ all levels both college & professional.

Find someone that u feel comfortable with. Ck. out the reviews from past students & ck. out their experience level. Most importantly of all; is that person a good teacher & communicator. U can get a good idea bout that from past reviews from their kids.

Just started a new semi pro team & won 2 games n the ABA league. It was a great thrill 2 get that first professional win. We had a 5 game winning streak 4 the summer session. It has been a great thrill 2 c our team evolve & start 2 play better 2 gather; talent improvement has been the biggest boost 2 the program.
