As a former starter at Georgetown Prep and leading scorer & captain at Rhodes College - Anesu Nyawata has committed to passing down his education and training to the next generation of athletes from Montgomery County. Being well-versed and connected in the area; his expertise provides focused, individual training for athletes ranging from grade school to the high school level.

I worked my first basketball camp in the summer of 2011 and fell in love with teaching. Fast forward to 2015 I began working at a training facility as a summer job during my college years. Once I graduated from college and began working I kept on training players as a weekend job, which kept the fire burning. I love reaching the game and I hope to do it for as long as I possibly can.

I played my college basketball for Rhodes College in Memphis Tennessee from 2014-2018, where I was the leading scorer during both my junior and senior seasons.

I have been training youth basketball players since around 2015 and I have developed a passion for seeing players increase their confidence and take their games to the next level. As a former college player that excelled at that level, I am highly aware of the skills and the work ethic needed for players to elevate their games.

About the lesson

I typically like to use the first session to evaluate a new student and figure out his/her strengths and weaknesses. From there, i give them a notebook and ask that they write down a 90 day goal as well as a two year goal within the game of basketball. This gives a baseline from which to work from and track progress. From this point we begin working towards that initial 90 day goal, and once 90 days passes we take a look and see how far we have come while setting sights on an updated goal for the next 90 days.

I typically work with players in elementary school up until high school. I prefer starting with middle and elementary schoolers because it gives me the highest amount of time to help them maximize their potential.

Coach Ness is fantastic! He gives kids strong fundamental core skills to be well prepared in basketball games. My son improved instantly after his first practice. The most important is that coach Ness teaches kids strong self-discipline to plan and practice on daily routine basis, it helps my son to form his solid ball handling skills through training and practice. I wish we could meet coach Ness sooner, he is a real best fit for junior basketball players like my son! Thank you coach Ness 👍
