About Joseph

My service is based on long-term development. My ultimate goal is to continue to work with each player throughout their basketball career, helping them personally in the areas that matter most to helping them to get to their next level. All the while exposing them to some of the other valuable connections that I have in the world of basketball.

The thing that I enjoy most about coaching is that I believe that I am one of the few coaches regionally that coaching is more to me than a position or job, and basketball is much more than a game. Sports is a mere conduit to learning many of the valuable life skills need to be successful in the real world. My job as a coach is prepare kids for the next level of basketball, and their next level in life. I take that responsibility to the highest degree of seriousness.

While in high school, I have been asked by my peers to help coach them in various areas of basketball. This began my love for coaching and adding value to others. A couple years after high school, while in college, I had the unique opportunity to coach basketball for a company for kids under the age of 9. I loved it ever since and cannot see myself not being involved with coaching our youth.

Around a decade of coaching for an after school sports program for young kids. Years of private one on one and group coaching. Collegiate basketball player on an athletic scholarship.

About the lesson

Starting with their understanding of the basics and then building from there. Also, focusing on the area the player would like to improve in (i.e. dribbling, shooting, confidence, endurance, etc.)

Details

I charge $50 per hour for once per week. Rate negotiable for training more than once in a calendar week or with multiple children of the same household (must be siblings).
