About Derrick
We personalize your individual or group workouts to cater to your needs and goals as a athlete.
I personally enjoy every aspect of what I do. The thing that sticks out the most is learning as a coach I can never learn enough I am constantly searching for knowledge and methods to relay this information in a manner that's easy to comprehend and use in game situations.
I started mentoring with the head coach of the community college in my area. My purpose for wanting to teach basketball is to provide every child and adult with the resources and knowledge to improve their basketball abilities throughout life.
I have five years of coaching experience at the High School and AAU level. I have been mentored by coaches at the collegiate level as well.

We will first go through a series of fundamental drills so I can evaluate the athletes strength and weaknesses. Which will help me talior a workout program to improve your overall game in a reseaonable time frame.
I have worked with beginner, intermediate, and advanced skill sets.
My biggest lesson as a teacher is your students learn well when they are comfortable with you as a person. Next you want a teacher with experience and confidence in their craft.
after a workout with one of my athletes I asked him what was his dislikes he had about the workout and his reply was he had no dislikes and he understood everything I taught him well.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
You should have a good idea of your goals you want to work towards.
